This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach second grade at a two-way immersion school where both native Spanish speakers and native English speakers come together to learn a new language from one another. Our sweet, bilingual students are hard-working, kind, and a joy to teach. I am so proud to be their teacher!
I am requesting technology accessories such as wireless mice and styluses to help make technology time easier for my second-grade students.
At my school students use an iPad throughout kindergarten and first grade. Second grade is the first year they begin using Chromebooks. This has been a difficult transition for many of them. They are not confident in their use of the trackpad and are struggling to write on the upright laptop screen (as compared to the iPad they could lay flat). Therefore, I am requesting a wireless mouse for each student (and batteries to power them) and styluses that will allow them to more easily use their Chromebooks. Thank you for your support!
