Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students. I have students with specific learning disabilities and other health impairments. My students challenge themselves to learn and try new things. They always try their best and go beyond what is asked of them.
Science is FUN in our class!
Even if at times we have limited resources, the environment of acceptance and allowing students to express themselves makes up for it.
My Project
I am requesting books which are needed to support my students' learning. Students need supporting materials to enhance our lessons and work in Science.
Students need these books to use as a reference resource.
Students can also read these science related books when they finish early. When we get to our unit on the solar system, these books can also be utilized.
We currently do not have enough books to rotate within our classroom. These books would help keep our students engaged and entertained while learning. I am excited to see how my students will use this as a new learning tool.
