My Project

Students who are newcomers often have difficulty adjusting to their new environment. Grades can often be affected as well as social skills for students who have language barriers. My students deserve the very best. It is my goal to create a more inviting classroom setting to make learning more comfortable and accessible.

Help me welcome newcomers to my classroom by creating a technology and literacy rich environment by having iPads that can be used to assist with researching topics, translating for communication purposes, and playing educational games that will increase student vocabulary and build literacy skills.

Translated materials such as the dictionaries and other activities such as number/letter trace, bilingual flash cards and emotion books will promote learning, increase communication and help students succeed academically.
