Supporting Mental Health Through Social Interaction
Help me give my students supplies like games to help build social bonds as well as fidget toys and artificial plants to support mental health and create a welcoming and calming atmosphere in the classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Kids spend the majority of their time staring at their phones or glued to an electronic device. Studies have shown that this kind of daily activity is harmful to the mental health of growing teens. I would like my students to interact with each other and have fun by socializing through gameplay and creating a classroom atmosphere that is both welcoming and calming.
During every lunch period, students will have 30 minutes to take a break from the school day and academic learning and engage in fun board games with their peers.
This will help to create social bonds and build relationships between individual students as well as myself. It is important that my students receive a mental break to have a little fun and get to know each other better.
