Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Through this project, I am looking to build community and regulate mental health by engaging with students of different ages in collaborative storytelling and engaging problem solving.
By getting a set of campaign books, students will be able to create characters and imagine themselves embarking on fantastic adventures as a team.
Supplies like rolling boards will allow us to work together on a space to draw out our ideas and strategize. Snacks will keep students powered up on their quests, while technology allows me to effectively coordinate students and their activities on online game platforms. Our all-female students come from diverse backgrounds, and D&D has historically been a white male dominated space, so our club works to break down barriers and create a more inclusive game.
