My Project
The items I am requesting will enhance my classroom environment by providing increased sensory activities, education in the area of mental health, and supporting my students' mental health needs.
My students have been asking when I am getting a ball chair like they have in some of their classrooms.
It helps them focus on our tasks and provides the sensory input their bodies and minds crave. It is not easy to sit in a chair all day, so the ball chairs should help improve their stability, stamina and attention. All of which will improve their mental health stability.
The students I teach speech and language skills to are like my family. They are unique and have individual strengths and needs that deserve to be addressed and supported. I know from first-hand experience how mental health can quickly change your life. Having a positive outlook, resources to calm your body and mind, and supportive adults can easily be the key to a healthy metal state.
