Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Integrating the use of magazines in the classroom will spark lively engagement! In a classroom where students come from large families that live in poverty, access to books and magazines at home are limited.
Having the ability to access reoccurring magazine articles will give students exposure to literature in other academic contexts that they would not normally have access to, while simultaneously creating a rich and engaging learning environment.
Our science block will be enriched with the subscription of a scientific magazine that will spark engaging conversations related to our daily learning. Through academic magazines my students will be able to grow as global citizens as they learn about the world they live in through captivating articles.
