Supporting Kindness in the Classroom!

My Students

My new Fourth Grade classroom is a place for challenging activities, building independence, and collaboration. Students spend this year using their reading skills for to grow their reading comprehension and love for reading! They continue learning skills to be independent readers and the importance of collaboration. In doing so, they find a love for reading and lifelong learning.

This year is my first year in Fourth Grade and I want to ensure students have the best experience possible!

I am so excited to teach a new grade level. Due to being a newer teacher and only have taught third grade, I need more books and supplies to better meet the needs of my new Fourth Graders! We will be using novels to enhance our comprehension skills, tables to promote collaborative learning, and Kagan Strategies to increase active engagement in our classroom!

My Project

The books and storage cubes in this project will help to promote a kind and welcoming environment for my students! A classroom should be a place where students feel welcome and excited to learn! The book Wonder encourages students to be kind and to include everyone around them. Reading this book as a whole class will inspire my students to be kind, find a love for reading, and include all around them!

With these new books and storage cubes, my students will be more engaged and focused on being successful both inside and outside of the classroom!

The storage cubes in this project will be used for my students to organize their belongings. Students will be able to be organized and find relief in knowing where all of their belongings are in their cubes. These cubes will allow them to take care of our new books, find their supplies with ease, and stay organized throughout the year!
