Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is excited for the opportunity to receive interactive reading materials to make learning fun! Many students at our school are EL students. In fact, 93% of new enrollments this year speak a language other than English. Therefore, teaching phonetic skills happens from Kindergarten to 5th grade. By supporting our school to receive reading games will make center activities and reading blocks engaging, interactive and fun! EL students will also not only grow their reading skills, but also their social language as they interact with their peers to take turns, explain game rules and congratulate team members when using the game.

The colored ink will continue to provide images for EL students to understand the context of their work.

For example, our students will continue to learn their colors through color! Teachers are able to print out picture cards to support vocabulary development when reading. The ink will allow students to make accurate pictures in their head when reading.
