Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a school social worker at a Title I school and often it is brought to my attention that some students lack basic hygiene needs.

Research has shown that students don't come to school because they don't have basic hygiene needs and therefore miss out on their education.

To support our students, I would like to have hygiene care kits that include toiletries, brushes and other items available for grabs for those that need it. As we approach the end of the school year, I would also like to distribute hygiene kits to our graduating seniors as they prepare to embark on a new academic journey into college and trade.
