This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The persistent disparity in academic achievement between minority and disadvantaged students and their white counterparts needs to be closed. Some school supplies like binders with academic vocabulary and reading and writing anchor charts can make a huge difference in a classroom full of children who work below grade level.
I want my students to face their challenges, believe in themselves, and overcome their difficulties.
That is why I would like to provide them with these literacy binders to help them learn reading and writing skills and use their time wisely.
I want my classroom to be an effective learning environment that encourages children to persist and try their best in reading and writing. I will use the three hole puncher to insert essential learning tools for each of the four modules in our reading curriculum. The paper cutter will help me to dismantle their student notebook and keep all the resources in one place.
These children cannot waste time; they need to use their learning time in the classroom effectively so they advance their reading and writing skills and eventually achieve grade level. These binders will allow students to organize their literacy handouts, graphic organizers, and references, and academic vocabulary definitions.
