This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The persistent disparity in academic achievement between minority and disadvantaged students and their white counterparts needs to be reduced. Our classroom currently has furniture for 20 students to sit comfortably but next year we will have 25 children in the classroom. I need these two tables to create room for another group of 5 students.
I want to ensure my students have the adequate resources to perform at their best level regardless of their social status or school funding.
I truly believe that providing children with a friendly and inclusive classroom will encourage them to face their challenges, believe in themselves, and overcome their difficulties.
I want my classroom to be an effective learning environment that encourages children to persist and try their best. These two tables will help 25 children to sit comfortably and endure their 7-hour day of learning.
