This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students I serve are enrolled in Media Magnet Studies for three years of their middle school career. They have shown much creative potential with the equipment we have available thus far. However, for my students to submit their photographs and have their great work viewed in galleries quality photographs are preferred.
Students will be able to gain access to high-quality photographs to participate in New York City and State competitions and contests throughout the year.
With a color-ink classroom printer, students will gain more hands-on experience with the photography process in addition to the skills that they have gained so far.
My Media Magnet students are from various neighborhoods in South Brooklyn and will benefit from having the obstacle of printing costs removed from their daily school life. These students have been incredibly innovative and creative in the Media Magnet program producing social media advertisements, podcasts, Animations, and photography.
