This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have students who will be applying for the AP Studio Art Drawing course, which is a college level course taught in high school. These students need to have the proper materials in order to create high quality artwork. They attend an art school that does not have enough funds for art supplies
My students deserve to express themselves in their artwork.
These students are extremely talented and just need some art supplies to create their artwork. They live in a very low-income neighborhood. They do not have enough money to pay for resources like art supplies. Many of the students are interested in becoming an Art Major for college.
My Project
My students need canvas boards,colored pastel paper, charcoal paper, sharpie markers, and linoleum cutters for their art portfolios. These materials will support these students in creating better art projects. The quality of art supplies makes a high difference in their artwork. Currently students do not even have sufficient types of paper to create their artwork. They really need canvas boards to draw on. They need linoleum cutters to cut their linoleum with. The students need sharpie markers to outline some of their artwork. Students will be creating artworks for their AP Studio art project. They need quality paper for these portfolio pieces. They will also be learning new techniques with these materials.
These donations will make a huge difference in these students' lives.
The students will be able to create better artwork. They will be able to get college credit by passing the AP Studio Art Drawing portfolio. These students can also use their artwork in portfolios for future jobs.
