Support Super Series Reading Students With More Books!
Help me give my students new series books to read! They will love reading Dog Man, Bad Kitty, The Last Kids on Earth, Splat the Cat, My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish and Notebook of Doom!
My students come from a diverse community with many different cultural and economic backgrounds, including many English as a Second Language Learners. This diversity creates a wonderful climate for learning about and embracing differences and also brings with it many challenges in providing students with the literacy skills they need to succeed.
Reading is essential to all academic learning, so this project is designed to provide materials for all children to access in order to promote literacy enjoyment and learning.
My Project
We have a series reading program at my school that encourages students to select and read different book series. This program fosters independent reading, supports comprehension, and most importantly, makes children excited to read! We are in need of new and replacement series books for our readers. We surveyed our students to see which books they want to add and they have requested: Splat the Cat, The Last Kids on Earth, My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish, The Notebook of Doom, and Bad Kitty. We also would love to add new releases to current series including the highly anticipated "Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild" and "The 91-Story Treehouse."
