This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with students of all socioeconomic backgrounds and life experiences. Students regularly come to my class and request food and snacks throughout the day; I never turn a student away, and believe that basic needs must be met before learning can begin.
Students have shown more engagement and participation in class activities and learning when they have access to additional food and snacks.
Healthy snacks can be a game-changer in their daily experience at school.
