Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in an inner city school where many of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our students would benefit from resources to build their self-regulation, anger management, and social skills.
We will use the materials in individual and small I’m group counseling, as well as whole class lessons.
Some of the sensory items will be given to students to manage their emotions. Other items will be used to promote our Positive Behavior Incentive System. The students try their best to earn points and these rewards will help boost their confidence and reinforce their hard work.
My students face daily hardships but each one of them comes to school with a smile and ready to learn! These resources will be very appreciated and well-loved.
