Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my preschool class, there are many children whose first language is not English, and they are in the process of learning the language. To facilitate the learning of English for these young children, the use of realia and visuals is essential. I firmly believe that my students have the capacity to acquire

proficiency in more than one language, provided they are given appropriate opportunities.

Research indicates that children who become proficient in both their home or primary language and English are likely to experience cognitive, social, and emotional development benefits. To actively support our students in their language acquisition journey, my para-educator and I employ hands-on materials and visual aids in our lessons. Currently, we have been printing numerous pictures to enhance the learning experience, and unfortunately, we find ourselves running out of ink for our printer.

I kindly request assistance in obtaining ink for our printer to ensure that we can continue providing valuable visual resources for our students' language development. Your support will contribute significantly to their educational growth and linguistic proficiency. Thank you for considering our request.
