My Project

I am a new social worker at the elementary age levels. I am also working on my master's degree and learning all about play therapy. The students I serve are usually struggling with past trauma and need support in managing their emotions. I like to do small groups with similar backgrounds, as well as individual work for more specific needs. By playing games together, the students are learning all about a healthy friendship, basic communication, and coping skills.

I would like to create a safe and calming environment for my students to enter into and have more resources to better support them and their needs.
