The students who take my engineering and robotics classes are a part of a large, urban school and come from many different cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. However, these pieces of their identities do not define them.
The students who take my classes are curious, creative, and in general, they are thinkers.
They come in every day willing to learn and be challenged. They are future engineers and scientists, and I want to help start them off on the right foot.
My Project
Mill Market is the Food Pantry that was started at LHS by our students for our students to help make sure that everyone has staple food items that they can take home and are properly fed throughout the day at school.
Mill Market is a needed resource for the students in our school in order to help ensure that all of our students are not hungry at school and at home.
In a district where we are 100% free lunch, making sure that all of our students have the resources that they need to be successful is vital.
