Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will allow my 2nd/3rd grade combination class to have centers in science, technology, engineering, art and math, making learning so much more fun! I have eighteen 2nd graders and and seven 3rd graders who are ready to expand their horizons and explore all subject areas. Microscopic slides and equipment are the perfect tools to explore curiosity and wonder in children's growing minds. Sight word towers, phonics flip books, and Elkonin boxes are engaging approaches to learning tricky works. Magna tiles and kinetic sand will allow our students to use their fine motor skills and navigate engineering through a tactile approach. Stencils and anime guides will allow students to express their creative thinking and artistic interests.
Lastly, SBAC prep materials will provide our students opportunities of exposure, practice, and preparation in order to be successful come testing season.
