it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a Title I charter school located in Las Vegas, NV. They represent a wide array of cultural backgrounds and speak many different languages. My students come from differing social and financial backgrounds as well, which only furthers their ability to learn from one another each day. My students are fun-loving and happy. Although many of them come from financially strained backgrounds they embrace and understand new technology at lightning speed. My students are clever, inquisitive and a delight to be around. They inspire me to become a better teacher and mentor.
My Project
My CTE Video Production class produces a weekly news show for our school that helps bring students together in an informative, yet entertaining manner. The equipment that you will help us purchase will assist the students with learning how to light scenes properly for News Broadcast and Interviews. Demonstrating proper lighting techniques is a Nevada State Standard Performance Standard 3.3) that the students must master. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of Lighting. The students will learn the technical skills required to properly use lights in both a realistic and cinematic manner.
