My Project
Hi there! Do you want to help my second grade scholars become magical mathematicians?
I teach 25 bright and beautiful children in a high need area of New York City.
My classroom is not equipped with all the necessary math materials that we need to make math an engaging and hands-on experience for my students. I am asking for materials that we will be using all year to help learn all the standards. The magnetic manipulatives such as money, place value blocks and shapes will help to develop conceptual understanding of the math concepts. I am also asking for multiplication flashcards which will help scholars master their facts!
With this donation, my students will be ensured best practices for math instruction and will be well on their way to success! I am requesting math workbooks that my scholars can use for homework and independent work in the classroom. These materials will help my students build the necessary skills that they need to be successful on the state tests. I am also requesting place value blocks and money manipulatives to help teach them about base ten and counting money.
