Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students want to be able to express themselves and have access to computers to complete necessary research to excel in their last year of high school. The students do not have much access to computers and having the Chromebooks available to them is vital to their success in their senior year.

My students are hard workers that are determined to graduate high school and go on to college.

They are driven to succeed, but need additional support to do that. They all struggle in different areas and having computers available in the classroom to support them each day will be an amazing resource.

My Project

The computers they would be using have access to Google Docs. My school uses this technology for all projects and the students will have necessary access to their work to peer edit and conference with myself. The students also can use the computer for access to tutorials and videos, when they are struggling with a specific concept they need to understand. Lastly, at this time in their high school career the students need support for research for papers and colleges as well.

This will make an extreme difference to the students because they do not have consist access to the technology they need to support their growth in the classroom.

My school has limited access to computers and since I have a small class, we are less likely to receive technology then the larger classes in the building. My goal is to help these students graduate and having these computers set aside for their use will benefit them and ensure they have the resources they need on a daily basis.
