This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My LGBTQ+ club is small but mighty. Every year we recruit more and more students by giving out pride flags and stickers, getting kids excited about discovering how they might fit into the Alphabet Mafia.

They're here, they're queer, and now it's time to have some fun!

In the past we've used pony beads to make Pride bracelets in a rainbow of colors, but I'd like to add some more arts and crafts activities so we can spread joy. The kids love to draw and paint, and they especially enjoy projects that lead to things they can wear and show off, like keychains and bracelets. That's why I've chosen the items on my list, so all our kids can have some fun making art together, and also advertise our club to prospective members!
