This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am an ESL Teacher (English as Second Language) for outstanding students in grades K-8. As the number of English Learners students grows in our classrooms, Lexia English is a new program implemented by our district that can support our multilingual learners in reaching their linguistic and academic potential.

Speech Recognition technology is a key element of Lexia English.

My students will need a headset with a microphone to benefit fully from the program without being disturbed by others around them. I usually pull out small groups of students at a time so all my students will share the same set of headphones I am asking for.
