Help me give my students resources needed to receive help at home and at school. The materials listed above will be used at school and sent home as additional support .
Parents often ask me, "What can we do to support you and help our child in the home environment?" I hope to create a program with a check-in system; where parents can request a skill box/bag to improve their child's skills. The program will focus on whole child development which is cognitive, social-emotional, and physical (fine and gross motor) skills; that parents can do at home with the child. For example, one family might check out a language box that includes a document explaining effective strategies to increase language at home, and a story and puppets. I hope that by creating these resources parents within my school boundaries will receive the additional help and support they need and create a great community. The resources will also be used at school to continue the student's growth.
