My Project
Our school is a Title I school, which means MORE THAN half of our student body is on free-reduced lunch. We also have students who do not have the best home life and need to work or help out with responsibilities compared to a parent. We want to build and create a sense of family when they become a part of the Lady Cougars Basketball Team. We want to be able to support and lessen the burden of the expenses that it takes to be on a high school athletic team these days. These shirts are just a small portion of the uniform that will help them feel as 1, a family! They will not need to worry about purchasing when you fund this project. Teenage girls now, just want to belong and feel a part of something. Our Varsity, JV, and Sophomore teams will be able to look like they are 1 team, with all the same under shirts.
We need some training materials, so our girls can get as many reps as they can while practicing, the defender pop-ups, help the girls work on their ball handling with a more realistic sense in a game and having to get around the defender.
Having these we can get through more things during practice faster, and we can get to work on all of it at once. It helps us create unity.
We also use the blocking pads to help our girls with getting them stronger to keep up with the other teams.
Our Varsity Girls Basketball team is growing and we are enjoying all the many younger females that are gravitating to the basketball team. I am excited to see the young talent we have coming up and to see how they progress throughout
