This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am teaching the new Ethnic Studies course for our 8th graders. I hope to incorporate modern, relevant research that holds my students' interest and gives them a better understanding of what Ethnic Studies is and why incorporating it into our general learning is so crucial.
Our education system has been plagued with intense, unethical censorship that threatens to neuter the skills to critically analyze and face difficult but necessary truths.
It is more important than ever that our students are given the tools to defend their rights to an equitable and honest education.
Help us get the point across that this class is a pivotal part of our learning experience, and let my students know they are being supported!
