Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will support a volunteer after school club in which students prepare supplies for pets of the school community and local neighborhood. In this club, called Paws & Tails, students learn about pet care, pet needs and the importance of the generosity of sharing resources with our four legged friends. Students in this club are responsible for organizing and staffing the monthly pet food pantry. We also sponsor free pet microchipping and immunizations. Students are learning and practicing essential job skills, and engaging in compassionate community care.

In this project, the supplies requested will supplement the Kelly High School pet food pantry.

The goals of this project are for the students to have supplies to provide to pet owners in need, while learning important job and life skills.

The Kelly High School students are special because they've been volunteering in this club since last school year. They come to after school and weekend events and are highly committed to helping pets of our beloved community.
