This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our High Schoolers do not have transitonal-employment training classes anymore. Sewing and doing crafts teaches a skill which will grant them an avenue to self sufficency.
Being acapable of using your hands to produce clothes, household items and simple bags leads to a self sufficient adult.
This is a goal for every student in every school. Healthy snacks will provide some energy since the club starts at 7:30 AM.The need for sewing machine covers are so we may keep dust and rodents out. These machines need to be in good condition so that we may use them without issues within a small amount of time we have for clubs.
