My Project
My students need diverse books and a variety of tools in order enhance their learning. I am a first year teacher and with your support, I will be able to provide my children with a well-rounded education. I serve a diverse population so when the students are represented in the books they read, like The Little Spot series, they are motivated to learn about themselves and their friends leading to a welcoming and inclusive environment. With the use of STEM tools, specifically Magna-Tiles, the children are able to create and explore deepening their understandings and increasing their curiosity about the world around them! The goals of these resources is to enable children to become inclusive, teach diversity and to foster a space of curiosity as they build and interact with various stories. Additionally, with the use of comfy seating, students will have the ability to change their seating and stay engaged in the lesson. The seats will also make independent reading time more sustainable.
