School supplies are an essential part of any classroom and student learning. Thinking ahead to the new school year, I would like to support my students' everyday learning with new and fresh school supplies. Many students begin the school year with no school supplies and are unable to afford the basics that will ultimately help to set them up for success.
These supplies will help ease the burden on my students' families by helping to provide school supplies for our classroom.
Many families can not afford school supplies. It can be difficult for students who are not able to come to school with new supplies like their peers. I want all my students to start on an equal footing by providing basic school supplies that everyone needs in my classroom. I will be using these supplies, such as the 2 pocket colored folders to help students organize their materials by subject. Each color folder will represent a different subject making it easier for students to find their materials quickly and efficiently. Students will use the Expo markers to work within partnerships and small groups on personal white boards. Pencils always seem to go missing in a classroom. These pencils will be used in student writing toolkits and in our writing center as well as during math stations. Lastly, the Kleenex tissues will be used to wipe tears and germs away. I believe that providing my students with the necessary school supplies to be successful students is a great way to start their school experience.
