Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are motivated and hard working. As a middle school math teacher I have four groups of students in my room throughout the day. Having supplies to help keep our desks clean has increased our attendance percentages. Missing a day of middle school math can have students feeling stressed because they may have missed a mini lesson on a topic they are not as familiar with. By having the supplies in this project I hope that we can continue our trend of improved attendance.

Middle school students are good about keeping their germs to themselves but with shared desks throughout the day that can sometimes be difficult.

Having access to cleaning materials will allow students who are not feeling 100% to clean their areas before they leave the classroom. I love being able to have the basic supplies in my math classroom so that students can focus on their learning.
