My students need a beautiful globe rug for whole group learning time. They also need an assortment of pens, pencils, tape, and storage bins for classroom organization.

My Students

These students come from a great neighborhood. Some families have parents going to the local university. Some families are new to our country. Some families have been here for generations. It's a great mix and everybody does their homework every night.

It's fun to work with motivated students who have such a great support system.

They are eager to learn and they work hard. Second grade is the magical age where they still adore school but they are old enough to do many things on their own.

My Project

This cute rug will give our students an inspirational place to sit during group time. The bins will help organize our books that a currently disorganized and falling off shelves. Students really need markers and pencils for writing about what they learn about too. They can use the for writing about and illustrating different places and ideas.

Exposure to maps helps students realize where places are and how they relate to each other.

This rug will help them to memorize the continents and countries in them. When they learn about current events they can see where in the world they are happening.
