My Students

My students are amazing! Between my government classes, history of rock and roll classes, and dungeons and dragons club my students have helped me create a classroom that is welcoming and inviting to everyone who walks through the door.

My students want to learn about politics and government and strive to support each other through understanding and open conversation.

I want to provide and opportunity to let them show their learning in multiple ways (through art and audio media).

One of the hardest parts of teaching is to see my students struggle with getting enough to eat, teaching teenagers this is one of the biggest struggles. They are ALWAYS hungry, and some come to school specifically for their meals. I want to provide free access to some healthy in class snacks to help these amazing kids.

My Project

I am looking to not only provide basic supplies for my students to learn and share in my classroom, but to also give those students who come to school hungry one less thing to worry about by being able to provide healthy and filling snacks they can have in class.

I am also working to give the kids a special opportunity to showcase their skills/learning by producing small podcast projects created by students on topics they have done research on, whether it be for a Government subject, and AP review, or Anthropology highlight.
