Supplies We Need, Oh Yes Indeed

My students need pencils, magnetic clips, index cards, and staplers to help them continue all of the hard work that they've been doing this year.

My Students

We are getting to that point in the year when supplies become scarce.

My class consists of 27 students from all over the world.

They are such a kind and lively group of children. They all love to read and write! Having the supplies to keep them going is often a struggle. In the beginning of the year, some students brought supplies but not all. I try to replace as much as I can but it's hard. I want to be able to give them the proper tools to keep succeeding.

My Project

The materials I am requesting will help my students continue to succeed. I am requesting magnetic clips to hang up teaching charts that I create for my students. I am requesting pencils because my students have already gone through the supplies that we had. This shows that they have been working really hard with their writing! The pencil sharpener will make sharpening easier and less time consuming. Having individual sharpeners for each student leads to distractions. The mini staplers are kept in our writing center. In second grade, the push is to help students become more independent. The staplers help them to organize their work on their own and staple it when they are complete. The index cards are used during word study and independent reading. Words are written on the cards and then attached to rings to help student work on their vocabulary words.

By donating to this project you will allow students to gain independence by organizing their work and understanding when their work in complete.

You will be helping to minimize distractions in the classroom.
