Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My third graders come from hard-working families and will be looking forward to becoming first-time college graduates. Some of my students are bilingual and struggle to read at grade level.

I have requested a class set of dry erase clipboards, laminating pouches, rolling carts, and file folders.

My students will use these materials to work together on designing a landscape for our school's garden.

We are using project-based learning with math and writing to help my students develop their interests and motivate them to attend school daily. By providing the tools to apply multiplications and fractions, they will see the importance of building our community by beginning with improving our school's garden.

With much-needed support, they will share their ideas with one another and help them grow to advocate for themselves and others in their neighborhood.
