Help me give my students needed classroom supplies for daily classroom world history activities and projects. We need items like the heavy duty 4 inch D-ring binders for filing summative assessments and tape for hanging student made posters.
I teach World History and AP World History. The students in my classroom come from a rural community where resources are very limited for learning. I provide a lot for them in the classroom with my own funding. I coordinate and oversee programs such as Model United Nations, Model Congress, Hawai'i History Day, The History Matters Club, and Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society. I have been teaching at this High School for 28 years and I love seeing my students be successful as lifelong learners.
My Project
The resources needed for my students: D-ringed folders, post it pads, rolls of tape, and sheet protectors are necessary classroom supplies for learning.
These classroom resources will be extremely useful for my students as they learn about significant world events.
The supplies will help to maintain the "engaged in group learning" process already taking place. The much needed supplies will continue to help my students develop their ideas, organize their thoughts, complete their projects with quality, and allow students to continue to be empowered as they share what they have learned with their peers. These necessary resources will definitely be utilized on a daily basis and will facilitate in the continued development of successful student scholars who will make a positive difference.
