Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My math students are eager to learn and be successful. They live in an inner city and 99% of them receive free lunch. My students are culturally diverse and speak a variety of languages including English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Our classroom of 90 young adolescents is eager to be successful, but we lack the supplies to do so.

We need more general supplies like white board markers and paper to help our learning.

I'm excited to see how new resources can help our students achieve even more than they have before.

My Project

My students have whiteboard desks to use, but no more dry erase markers! They need dry erase markers and erasers to help them with their work. They use these desks every day to work alone and collaborate with their peers. They are very visual learners and like to draw out their explanations in math class.

Clorox wipes and tissues will help us survive cold and flu season!

Students are still getting sent home sick every day.

Lastly, some printer paper and pens would help me do my job of preparing and grading their work. Help us become a classroom that isn't starving for supplies.
