Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The supplies that I am including with this project will help me support my students with learning differences in many ways. Students with learning differences benefit from learning in a multimodal manner. These students can have increased difficulty learning and applying their learning with use of pencil and paper only. Students with learning differences benefit from hands on activities to expand and support their learning. That is what the items in my project will support.

These supplies will help me provide my students with hands on learning to support their learning differences.

The pizza counting and wooden burger-sandwich stacking will not only support my students in their counting and labeling, but also in their social communication as they engage with peers in "ordering" their meal. The wind up toys will support my students' labeling, describing skills and identifying the action each toy will make. The alphabet stickers and stamps will help my students with letter and sound identification while using these in various art projects. The feelings chart will provide a larger classroom visual so that we can identify and express our feelings in many ways. The animal erasers will be used so that my students learn about grouping, describing and categorizing. These are all foundational skills needed to expand on their academic learning.
