As a teacher, you learn that your classroom will always contain students of different academic abilities and learning styles. It is our job to create a classroom of young learners that understand the same of their classmates. A classroom of young minds that do not judge one another based on their learning process, but instead, applaud one another for their unique learning abilities is my goal.
The requested supplies will help my students learn with tools that are best fitting to their learning preference.
Although students benefit from taking notes on traditional paper, some students absorb more information when given a dry erase surface and marker. Many students also learn better when they can go back and add to or correct their work with an additional color. Students will use the requested highlighters and colored pens to do just that.
Students will use the glue to take part in hands-on math art projects that require them to "show what they know". The requested laminating sheets will be used to preserve their work when displayed on the bulletin board.
