This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Each year I have a new group of students with varied disabilities from grades 9-12. They are quite a fun to work with. They have various talents, and they excel in many areas including reading writing, calculation, athletics and community volunteering. To begin the year, we will need supplies to have our students ready for learning. I would be grateful if you could help special education students get the basic supplies to get them organized and school ready for the year. I would appreciate it.

I plan to have the students keep a notebook that they can refer to for classwork and assessments.

I like to do journal writing to help students deal with social emotional challenges in their school career that may affect their classroom performance. We discuss issues and deflate anxiety through journal writing at the beginning of the class.
