This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher in a junior high moderate special education classroom, I am dedicated to providing a learning environment where every student can succeed, feel valued, and grow. Many of my students face unique challenges, but they are enthusiastic, hardworking, and eager to learn. With the right tools and resources, they can achieve greatness!

I am seeking your support to provide basic supplies that will help our classroom function smoothly and foster a creative, organized, and engaging learning experience.

Here are the resources we need:

Snacks: Many of my students require snacks throughout the day to stay energized and focused. Having easy-to-access, healthy snacks will ensure they can stay on task and engaged in their lessons.

Glue Sticks: A classroom staple for many of the hands-on activities and projects we do, glue sticks are an essential part of our learning process. With frequent use, we're in need of more to ensure that our projects and activities can continue uninterrupted.

Cubby Cube Storage: Our classroom could greatly benefit from organized cube storage. This would help students keep their personal items, schoolwork, and materials tidy and easily accessible. Organized spaces help reduce distractions and promote independence.

Anchor Chart Name Tags: Visual aids like anchor charts are a huge support for my students as they navigate different topics and concepts. Name plates, with personalized visual aids, will make the classroom more accessible and will help students stay connected to the learning material. They will also help my students feel a sense of ownership and belonging in the classroom.

Digital clocks to help tell time and track time, using the timers to pace our lessons and activities.
