This year, our class has worked hard to become a supportive and hardworking group of students. We have become a tight knit classroom community of goal setters, coaches, and cheerleaders.
Throughout the year, we have found what works really well for us, and what we need to help us improve.
With the end of the year approaching, it would be easy to shrug off our needs and continue as best we can. However, I would really like to see my how much more my students can achieve with access to every tool.
My Project
Being able to replenish our dry erase markers will be effective in maintaining focus during instruction and practice because we won't have to hunt them down in the class. We use whiteboard markers every day for independent math and spelling practice as well as as a way for me to do quick checks of understanding during whole group lessons.
We have been setting goals, making action plans, and ultimately meeting goals all year long.
Every time a student meets an academic or behavior goal we celebrate as a class with a round of applause and the student gets a badge to mark their success. Due to the hard work of these students, we have gone through a lot of badges this year! The laser address labels will ensure we have the proper amount of badges to celebrate all of our goal success.
Our spelling and phonics practice activities have been well used this year. Having new materials like the scented markers for practice could be very beneficial to the continued focus of the class.
