I value the engaging environment that I create in my classroom. Day to day I try to make everything that we do in math and science hands-on and creative for my students. We are always looking for something new and exciting to learn in the most rewarding way that we can.
My students are a unique and fabulous group of kids.
Each student has their own way of learning and their own fascinating personality that truly makes our room a lively place. I work in a school district where teachers receive very little money towards their classrooms each year and there are many students that come from families that do not have the money to provide them with the supplies that they need throughout the year.
My Project
Day to day my students use the resources you are providing to work in all subjects. We are using the paper for our math unit on coordinate planes. We use the pencils, glue, highlighters, and scissors for our interactive notebooks. Also, we love using mini-whiteboards to do interactive lessons which is why we need the cleaner and erasers.
Your donations will allow me to continue to engage my students with all of the resources available.
I truly believe that kids learn better from hands-on activities and centers than they do from listening to me talk and write notes all day. Having my students up and moving and doing different tasks keeps them engaged and motivated so that when it is time to take notes they are ready to sit and focus their attention.
