My Students

My students are excited to come to school each day and to learn from one another. They enjoy working in collaborative groups and sharing their knowledge with each other. They enjoy using their critical thinking skills to evaluate new information while integrating the arts to show their learning. They get very excited any time we can use technology in the classroom, and they aren't afraid to try something new.

Jane Goodall once said, "You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.

What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make." With this quote in mind, I want to help my students become aware of the impact they are having on the world around them.

My Project

I am asking for art supplies and math manipulatives for my students who are learning virtually this year. One of the biggest challenges students face is not having the right supplies at home. Often times, kids feel disconnected when their materials don't look exactly like the teachers.

Having the right tools such as dice, playing cards, and watercolor sets will enable the kids to feel like they are all part of the same class.

It will help build our sense of community as we share and display our art virtually.
