Supplies That Engage the Mind

My students need supplies such as, dry erase markers, laminating pouches, clipboards, highlighters, and the Rocketbooks, to engage them in a more ecologically friendly way for generating ideas. With these supplies, materials can be shared across many students.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kids are bright young men and women who are interested in the world around them. We are a career and technical education school that focus on teaching design skills to our students.

My kids face many challenges in their everyday lives.

Many lives in unsafe neighborhoods and travel over 1 hour to attend school in a safer neighborhood. More than 70 percent of my kids qualified for free lunch. Despite their challenges, my kids continue to learn and create beautiful works as they work toward a better future for themselves.

My Project

Sharing resources while engaging the minds are the theme of our request. For example, the Rocketbooks will enable my students to share ideas in an efficient and ecologically friendly manner given that the Rocketbooks are reusable notebooks that will enable students to save their hand-written ideas.

In another example, the dry erase markers and sleeves will enable my students to work out solutions without touching the original documents.

Thus, we can reduce waste while still enabling all students access to the same materials.

In yet another example, laminating pouches will enable my students to save important study materials that they will need throughout the school year without worrying about the materials being damaged.

These and other schools supplies will help the students have a head start in creating a successful school year.
