My Project

These resources will provide a completely different classroom environment for my students. The rug and pillows will be used to create a ‘calming corner’ for when they’re processing big emotions and need some space to be able to effectively unwind as well as a reward system and on ‘Fun Friday’s’. The whiteboards and markers will be used in small groups and for after school tutoring to help the students improve their ELA and Math skills.

These supplies will help my students thrive from so many different angles.

Additionally, having access to a pencil sharpener is going to improve the dynamic of the classroom vastly, as we do not have a sharpener in the classroom. My students often come unprepared meaning I have to use the shared campus sharpener during my prep time when that time could be better spent ensuring my lessons are prepared for class time.
