This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, I have the privilege of working as a school counselor. My students just came back from a long hiatus due to Covid. Most of them are excited to spend time with their friends. Quite a few of them are nervous and anxious about being back in a school environment especially the 6th graders who are just starting middle school. My students care about their school environment, community, and each other.

Socio-emotional learning is at the forefront of this school year.

My students can all benefit from a lot of emotional and financial support. As a counselor working in a Title I school, the need for additional resources to benefit the emotional well-being of the community is a priority.

My Project

My students are in need of some basic materials to help them succeed in their learning. Many are coming to school with only one pen or nothing to write with. I would like to provide my students with the supplies needed to complete their work in style. I want to make this year as normal as possible for my students and having these supplies available to them will be a great incentive for them to do their work.

Basic supplies are the key to success in any classroom!

The laminating pouches, magnets, papers, staplers, and lead pencils are supplies that will be the key to bringing success in the classroom.
